1. Assembled in the USA

About Koala Studios

All Koala Studios are assembled by American Craftsmen in the USA. They are beautiful in their design and appearance and are built with the best materials and utmost care, providing a lifetime of enjoyment.

2. Rounded Beveled Edges

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios feature rounded corners and beveled edges, enhancing the Studio’s appearance and eliminating corners that snag fabric.

To achieve this, each board is precisely shaped with a computer-controlled diamond tip router, eliminating the need for saws that leave sharp edges.

To incorporate this advanced design features, the wood core must be made from a dense, high-grade 3/4-inch fiberboard with no imperfections.

3. Rich Elegant Veneer

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios are available in eight elegant finishes and will enhance any decor.

Each studio is finished in the same rich veneer and color inside and out and top to bottom, making it as beautiful opened as it is closed.

The veneer is applied through an advanced process called thermo-forming, which encapsulates the entire board and eliminates the need for edge banding.

The finish is a thick vinyl veneer that is hard-wearing, scratch-resistant, water-resistant, and easy to clean.

4. Remote controlled G3 Electric Glide Lift

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios’ innovative lift design enables the operator to effortlessly position their machine at any level with the push of a button. The user has a choice between a hand-held remote control and a built-in toggle switch.

The Koala G2 Lift has been designed to support all machines and provide a stable platform at every position. Two solid rails extend the full length of the lift platform, and the direct drive rack and pinion system moves your machine smoothly and quietly.

For the largest, heaviest machines, Koala’s optional G3 XL Lift provides extra space and support. The XL Lift is available on several studio models.

5. Large Capacity Full-Extension Drawers

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios feature full-extension drawers that glide open and close softly. The silent soft-closing hydraulic cushion makes the drawers impossible to slam.

The 5/8-inch framed drawer boxes combined with the steel drawer glides are weight tested to hold up to 120lbs. fully extended.

6. Multifunctional Bi-Fold Doors- Notion & Fabric Palettes

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios provide flexibility to minimize or maximize the Studio’s designated space by using or removing the Multifunctional Bi-Fold Doors.

If space is minimal, the doors can be folded flush to the sides of the Studio, or the doors can be easily removed.

If room permits, usable surface space or storage can be added to the left or right by attaching Notion & Fabric Palettes to the weight-bearing doors.

The Palettes can be positioned withing a 270-degree radius, providing usable surface areas where needed to support a variety of projects.

All studios are designed to pair together and if needed, the Bi-Fold Doors can be removed and stored.

7. Customizable Options in Width & Height

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios based models are built in widths of 27, 36, 53, and 70 inches. Each model’s footprint can be minimized or maximized depending on the Studio’s designated space.

Choosing the ergonomically-correct height of a Studio is a personal decision based on the individual’s desire to create while sitting, standing, or both. Koala Studios have options in heights of 29 1/4, 32 1/4, 35 1/4, and 38 1/4 inches.

At 35 1/4 and 38 1/4 inches, Koala Studios can be used comfortably while standing for cutting and placement of fabric. The taller height studios can also be used comfortably while sitting with the adjustable Foot-Control Rest and adjustable Koala Sew Comfort Chair.

8. Customizable Options in Shelving, Storage & Accessories

About Koala Studios

The surface and storage areas of your Studio can be maximized with an outback leaf extension, outback shelves and storage boxes. This is ideal when the Studio is positioned toward the center of the room, allowing access from every side.

A custom matching machine insert allows the Studio to be used by any brand or model of machine and enables the fabric to glide over the Studio surface.

9. Top Drawer Delivery

About Koala Studios

Koala Studios Top Drawer Delivery Service is a premium in-home delivery option that delivers the Studio into the owner’s home and room of their choice. The Studio arrives assembled and after the delivery team positions it, the owner only needs to attache their palettes, adjustable shelves, and accessories.

10. Lifetime Warranty

625_warranty

Koala Studio’s Lifetime Warranty protects against manufacturer’s defects in the workmanship and materials and is our promise of quality and responsibility.

The location of Koala’s American factory and superior design enable components of the Studio to be repaired or have a component replaced in case of damage, restoring the Studio to its original condition.

I have a 20 year old Koala cabinet that I love! It has a roll out cabinet on the right side with a surface area that I use for my serger. The casters have all fallen out of the bottom of the cabinet, plut I have lost one of them, somehow. How do I purchase another caster, and any suggestion for getting the cabinet repaired. Thank you.

My husband and I purchased a Koala Dualmate Plus IV June 21, 2018. It was purchased through Sierra Sewing Center at a quilt show held at the Reno Convention Center. Gladys Tan was the Koala representative at the show. I was looking for a cabinet for my Janome Horizon 15000. When I saw the Dualmate Plus IV I was impressed since the rep. said it would hold my Janome and my serger, and I’d be able to store my embroidery hoops in the cabinet, too. The product was delivered September 20th.

I have not been thrilled with this purchase since it was delivered. It is basically a very large furniture piece that holds my machines. I had asked Gladys if the space between the footwells could be used to store my hoops. Gladys assured me this could be done and wrote it out on the order form. At NO TIME did Gladys tell me I would need a taller cabinet than the one I was looking at. That would not have been a problem. (The hoops for my sewing/embroidery machine are much larger than any Baby Lock hoops.)

When my initial inserts arrived (lucite inserts) the insert for the sewing machine did not fit my cabinet with the Janome in place. Eventually the cabinet matching inserts arrived and they fit around my machines. However, neither insert is worth the $99.99 I paid for the large insert and the $74.50 I paid for the serger insert, and the $198.99 I paid for the embroidery hoop set up is not right since the cabinet does not accommodate my hoops at all.

Please let me know how these items can be returned and a refund of the $373.47 for these items will be processed.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Sincerely, Jill ingram

I need a replacement top for my Koala Cabinet. I called once and was told that it would cost 100$ plus shipping. Can you advise me on how to get this ordered?

The caster wheels on my Koala cabinet are bound up with hair and thread. I have pulled out as much as I can with tweezers, but there is still some caught up in the axle. Some of the wheels do not move freely.

How do I take the casters apart?

I purchased an Ash white Artisan collection cabinet on 9/5/18 from Lakeshore Sewing, Wyoming MI. I have a Pfaff Creative Sensation Pro sewing machine. How is it 6 MONTHS LATER. I am STILL waiting for my matching wood insert that I paid 199.00 for????
I always thought Koala cabinets would have top of the line customer service? THAT HAS NOT BEEN MY EXPERIENCE, and no one can tell me when I will get it. I spent 4,000.00 plus for this cabinet and would like my matching insert. I was sent an Acrylic Sew Steady insert until I can get the one I ordered, but no knows when that will be?
I am beyond upset and would like an answer!
Please contact me with a solution

I have checked all hardware store and they do not carry anything that small.

3/4/2019 I purchased an Artisan Studio w/XL Lift in English White Ash Koala Sewing Cabinet on July 21/2018. After a number of concerned calls, I finally received delivery of the Cabinet on December 28, 2018 – 5 months later! The cabinet is lovely but although a “Koala White Ash Custom Cut Wood Machine Insert” was ordered, it did not arrive with the Cabinet. I called your customer support number and eventually spoke with “Emily” – several times – who on January 21, 2019 assured me that the wood insert would be arriving at my home between February 8 and February 13, 2019. I have not received the insert. I have called and left messages for “Emily” twice with no return call. I called once again this morning and found that my wood insert (Order #388912) has not even been shipped! I left a message again for Emily.
Erika, could you please look into this for me? I have been very patient but this is ridiculous – 8 months to receive a complete order that was suppose to take 3 months at most. All I want is the insert. Can someone please do something to help me with this situation?

After three months of anticipation, I have to say that I’m greatly disappointed in the quality of my studio. I’m working with the store that I purchased it through but wanted to express my frustration directly. Not only was the Outback leaf I ordered not included, the lift worked long enough to lower my machine then quit. It does not respond to either the remote or the toggle switch. The configuration of the embroidery arm drawer is off so that I have to tilt the arm in order to close the drawer fully. The fittings on the underside of the notions and fabric tables are too small for the hardware provided so I can’t use those either. I took them in to the dealer and the hardware provided is the same as they use. Finally, my studio was delivered a week ago but I have yet to hear anything about the two machine inserts that I ordered. The store informed me that those are delivered separately but as I’ve said, I’ve received no word on when I can expect those. I suppose those aren’t of much use unless/until the lift is working but I’d like to think that can be resolved soon.

Been waiting 4 months for my White Ash serger station for my Babylock serger. Every time I call the store I get well the factory moved, it has been cold, we don’t now, it will be here by end of January oh no shipping for sure February 8 will be received by you for Valentines Day. Oh now still too cold so production off, by end of February. End of February comes now still too cold production behind by mid March. Here we are mid March 4 months to the day that I paid the dealer and now again get told end of March. What is your suggestion now? Who do I contact for a direct answer? Or is it too cold to answer the phone too.

I purchased the TreasureChest studio with electric glide lift. I have another koala table that I have had for 10+ years and have been extremely happy with it. I cannot say the same for the TreasureChest. The ledge that goes on the attached doors are not very stable, to say the least – one fell within the first week I had the studio. I just picked up the shelves for the doors and the way they attach is extremely weak, one of the prongs has already fallen out. Considering the cost, I would have thought this studio would have been equal to the workmanship of the original one I purchased 10 years ago.

I am starting to question my decision to purchase this product! I purchased in November, 2018 at Houston Quilt Show. I was told it would be shipped by Feb 15, 2019. In December, 2018 I received a call from Koala saying it would ship mid January. Great! And a nice surprise. Mid-January comes and goes so I call to check on it. I am told it will now ship mid-February. Ok. That was the original ship date anyway. Mid February comes and goes so I call again. The lady calls me back and says it will ship mid-March. Mid-march arrives and still no word, so I call again to check on it. The lady calls me back and says it will ship that Friday and by the following Friday I should hear from the shipping company to make arrangements for delivery. Yayyy! I start cleaning my sewing room up and moving furniture out in preparation for my delivery in a few days. 2 days before my cabinet is supposed to arrive I receive an email saying there is a problem with my order and it will be delayed and to complete a form for the best way to contact me to discuss it. Really? You guys have called me and emailed me. First, I shouldn’t have to fill out a form on how to contact you when I have been calling you for literally, months. Second, what happened in 5 days from “your cabinet has shipped and should arrive by next Friday” to “There is a problem with your order and it hasn’t shipped”? I called to find out what in the world is going on? I get the same lady I have been talking to since January. Now she has an attitude. “I don’t even know who you are?” and “I don’t know what happened. I have been out sick.” I JUST SPOKE TO HER 5 days earlier when she told me my cabinet was shipping the very next day, but okay. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She says “Ok. Let me see if she is in.” Surprise, surprise, she had “just left for the day”. I ask for a voicemail and a direct number to her and suddenly she is able to transfer me and her supervisor answers. Wow. She has no answer either, other than my cabinet has still not shipped and they are backed up in production. How do you tell me my cabinet is finished and is shipping, then 5 days later tell me it isn’t even made yet? So, my cabinet that was supposed to ship in 3 months is quickly approaching 5 months. Guess I will move all my old furniture back in my sewing room and continue to wait. So frustrating. Again, starting to question my decision to purchase this. I have special ordered a vehicle and got it faster than this sewing table!

After reading all the problems folks are having with this company. I will getting my sewing furniture elsewhere. To bad a company can’t stand behind their orders and deliver them on time with all the pieces.

I am super frustrated and upset. I feel like I was lied to. I waited 4 months to get my studio. Was told it would be assembled by delivery company. NOT! I am missing the back leaf, the foot pedestal – The large bottom drawer does not fit (it scrapes the sides and interferes with the operation of the middle drawer. The doors are not installed – and there are no directions on how to do it – only on how to remove and align. I’ve called the company and complained, and I get no feedback on what is happening.. When will someone be out to fix the drawer and put the doors on?
I don’t want to be negative, but this just isn’t fair – to be told one thing and have something totally opposite happen.

    Still waiting for answers . . . . .
