Love all the space the cabinets have. My problem are the small rooms in the house that was built in 1843. Really small rooms w/ large windows to the floor. Would love to remodel the house so I could set-up a nicer sewing area. And yes my rooms, all 3, have clutter just like what you had started with. Thanks for the show for Koala Cabinets. Cathy

Love your studio makeover. What gal wouldn’t love to have a set up like that. Wow. Would love to have a “studio” sewing/quilting/craft room, dedicated only to me. ……..but Ms. Burns, I didn’t see any fabric scraps on the floor. lol Love the way you throw the scraps on the floor on your show. Love it!!

My dream room someday when all 4 girls are gone hahaha. I did order the quiltmate and storage center. I was wondering where you got the racks you put your quilts on?

    Hi Linda,
The racks are typically available for purchase at your local quilt show. We know that Eleanor’s sons made the racks and the design wall in her studio. If you notice- the racks were there before the transformation. They have provided instructions for the design wall here: http://www.mykoalastudio.com/2011/06/how-to-make-a-design-wall-like-eleanors/. We will keep an eye out for instructions to make those racks. Thanks for watching!

I love your boards that you have all you rulers and squares on. How were they made?

I recently visited Patrick Lose’s Studio in Phoenix Arizona while he was taping his TV show Quilting Celebrations. What a dream studio- Koala Studios, Baby Lock Sewing Machines embroidery machines, longarm quilters and color everywhere. There was even a kitchen and a private office. If you ever want to see Koala’s furniture in an amazing setting, visit Patrick Lose in Arizona! The show is great but the place is so much more amazing in person.

So glad to see that you also sew in a small, basement (?) room like me. I assume you have a closet for the fabric/batting stash? The yellow color on the walls and the track lighting are wonderful. Definately something I can do. I particularly like the height and foot-rest idea. Thank you for sharing a beautiful sewing room!

I like everything about Eleanor Burns. I watched her on TV throw little pieces of material over her shoulder.

I love Eleanor’s wall display/ storage hooks above the pressing station in picture #8. Does anyone know where I can get those hooks?

What is the height of the ironing station? I am 5’9″ and need it to be high.

Beautiful studio! I would love to see what is kept in the drawers, and how they are organized. Mine are always messy.

I am so jealous, beautiful. …. What a difference an organized room makes. It’s on my list. You spend more time sewing and less time searching. Love it.
